Our client is currently seeking Big Data Developers with experience in Hadoop/Spark engineering and architecture.
The successful candidate will be mentoring and leading Big Data development teams, solution architecture and design, interfacing with clients to understand technical requirements and support solution roll-outs. You will work on technically challenging and interesting projects with the opportunity to provide thought leadership to a variety of stakeholders in a hands-on programming/development role.
Required Skills / Experience

- 5+ years of software development experience including proven experience developing solutions in a Big Data environment Ability to program with Spark, Scala and experience with ETL Cloudera, Hortonworks or similar platform expertise Knowledge of Big Data technologies (e.g. Flink/Storm) Experience with all stages of the software development lifecycle Capable of leading a development team and/or spearheading an IT effort A degree from a post-secondary institution in computer science or engineering Experience with BI architecture and design (including data modeling) would be an asset Experience in Capital Markets or Energy would be an asset
